Harriet the Spy

....in order to track her subjects more effectively, she decided to blend in with the colors of the Caltrain station.

If this woman does not grow up to be Angela Lansbury in Murder She Wrote, I'll eat my own shoe.  Actually, I won't. But gosh I hope she does.

Thinking about Love

This is Jenine, who is most definitely not a stranger but a dear deary friend.  I took photographs of her thinking about her love.  This is just to announce that on Valentine's Day, I will be photographing strangers thinking about their loves.  Oh, gosh.

Big Nazo

I was actually out in Providence, RI, looking for something "normal" to shoot for another project...when I ran into Sam, wearing her handmade costume from a class at the Big Nazo studio.

Providence, you're not normal and that's wonderful.

Listen and Look

I've been absent lately due to a sudden and surprising attack of self consciousness during Stranger Approach.  However, I am working to overcome it.

Also, isn't this person beautiful?  Hair, my friends, is a medium which too few of us explore.  As is neon lettering.  Taken at the MoMA in Boston.

Umbrella

This woman silently put her umbrella over me in the rain yesterday.  For me, these kinds of moments are a huge part of what makes the human race so wonderfully worth it.
